Liu Huanhua

Liu Huanhua, born on August 20, 2021 in Jiahe county of Chenzhou city, is a male weightlifter who currently plays for the Tianjin team and the Chinese weightlifting team. 

 

In 2015, Liu Huanhua joined the Tianjin weightlifting team.
 
On August 13, 2019, Liu Huanhua represented the Tianjin team to attend the 2019 Taiyuan 2rd-Youth Games and won the third place in the men’s 81kg category.
 
In 2021, Liu Huanhua won the third place again in the men’s 81kg weightlifting competition of the 2021 National Weightlifting Championships for Men. In September of the same year, he participated in the 14th National Games of the People's Republic of China in Xi’an of Shaanxi province and won a bronze medal in the men’s 81kg division. 
 
In March 2022, Liu Huanhua joined the national team. And he participated in the 2022 Weightlifting World Championships in December 2022, winning a silver medal in clean & jerk lift and a bronze medal in overall results in the 89kg division. 
 
On September 15, 2023, Liu Huanhua represented the national team in the 2023 Weightlifting World Championships and won two gold medals in the clean and jerk lift and overall results of the men’s 102kg category.
 
On October 6, he broke the Asian Games record and won the championship in the men’s 109kg weightlifting competition at the 19th Asian Games with a clean and jerk lift of 233 kg and a total scores of 418 kg. 
 
On April 8, 2024, Liu Huanhua broke the world record in both the men’s 102kg clean and jerk lift and overall results, securing a gold medal at the 2024 Weightlifting World Cup.
 
On May 10, he was selected out to compete at the Paris Olympics 2024. 
 
On August 10, he claimed men's 102kg gold at Paris 2024.
